Cheltenham 4-1 Accrington Stanley- Match Report

Robins remain on course for play-off spot

Cheltenham maintained their play-off ambitions with a comfortable 4-1 home victory over Accrington.

Right-back Keith Lowe's first goal of the season put the Robins on course in the 12th minute, heading in after Alan Bennett flicked on Russ Penn's cross from the right.

Ben Burgess headed home Lowe's cross in the 56th minute for the first goal of his loan spell from Notts County.

Stanley goalkeeper Lee Nicholls kept the score down with a string of saves, including one fine reaction stop from Marlon Pack.

But the stopper should have done better with Pack's free-kick in the 62nd minute, which evaded his dive and nestled in the bottom corner.

Bennett missed from close range after Steve Elliott nodded a cross into the six-yard box as Cheltenham pushed for a fourth.

Accrington pulled one back in the 76th minute when Will Hatfield crossed for Bobby Grant to touch in from almost on the line, but it was comfortable for Cheltenham and Kaid Mohamed made it 4-1 in the first minute of stoppage time.
