Yates- We need to grow up quickly

Cheltenham boss Mark Yates believes his team need to mature as a team following their 6-4 defeat to Rotherham on Saturday. The Robins had taken a 3-1 lead after 36 minute thanks to strikes from Jeff Goulding, Wesley Thomas and Shaun Jeffers, however, Adam Le Fondre led the home team's fightback with four goals. Yates wants his side to play attractive attacking football but was left ruing their defensive display as he saw his side badly exposed - particularly from set-pieces. "I don't think there is any doubt we can play and we have ability, but we have to grow up quickly as a team and defend better as a team," Yates told the Gloucester Citizen. "In the first half I was delighted, but we shot ourselves in the foot so we have to learn quickly. "I am delighted with the stuff we are playing, but it means nothing if you don't defend well, there is no hiding from it."
