Yates is remaining typically coy on the identity of the individual and even the position in which he plays, but he is upbeat about what the potential prospect would add to Town`s promotion charge.
"We are trying to bring one player in particular in on loan but whether it happens this week or next week, I don`t know," Yates told the club`s official website.
"January takes a while to get going and I`ll be trying to get something done as quickly as I can but I`m not sure yet.
"We`re actively making calls right now but whether we can get the player or not remains to be seen, but I feel he would be a good little addition to what we already have here."
