"I was really pleased with the performance. After Saturday's defeat at home to Carlisle, it wasn't the best preparation to come here," he said after the game.
"I was after a good performance first and foremost. We had a lot of chasing to do after Sunderland scored but it was very important that we stayed organised.
"It was a very disciplined performance and to have the home fans whistling for the end of the game is a testimony of what we have done."
