Walsh focused on month-long stint

The Dagenham striker arrived at Whaddon Road last Thursday and made his debut as a 77th-minute substitute in Saturday`s 1-1 draw at Northampton.

Walsh`s opportunities have all been as a substitute for the Daggers since signing for the club 12 months ago, coming off the bench 14 times, while he enjoyed a two-month loan spell with Barnet earlier this season.

The 26-year-old appreciates he is very much on Dagenham`s books but also acknowledges the chance given to him by Robins boss Mark Yates and is enjoying being back in the location where he grew up as a boy, and where his parents still live.

Asked whether he is looking longer than a month, Walsh told Press Association Sport: "That`s not up to me to decide, I`m just going to concentrate on this month that I`ve got and hopefully do the best I can and we`ll see what happens at the end of that.

"You never say never, I love it down here in Bristol and the surrounding areas. At the same time I`m contracted to Dagenham & Redbridge so I`m still their player. I`m just going to do my best this month, that`s all I can think about. I can`t think any further but I`d be very open to it."
