Video nasty plays part in win

Yates at the time labelled the mid-December defeat "disgusting", "embarrassing" and "the poorest performance we've had this season". And he used that to inspire his players to make amends, something they certainly did as they raced into a two-goal lead after just five minutes thanks to Marlon Pack and Wes Thomas.

Barry Corr pulled one back in the 77th minute but it was the Robins who were left whistling a sweet tune this time around, maintaining their place in the top seven.

"We had a point to prove after the defeat by Southend and I made the players watch 60 minutes of DVD of that match because it wasn`t good enough," said Yates.

"It was a massive win for us. We needed a win and it was magnificent. We had to dig in and win ugly. The defence were superb and that was good because it is a hard place to come and get a result.

"It's also a big ask to be playing Saturday and Monday, two games in 48 hours, with a small squad and Martin Riley had to go off early with a hamstring injury which made it more difficult for us."
