Sparta Goettingen 0 - 2 Cheltenham Town

Kayode Odejayi and Craig Armstrong were on target against their German opponants on Wednesday evening. The club from Goettingen were described as being of non-league standard, but John Ward was adament that there were plenty of chances - the non-conversion of which will already be ringing alarm bells for some.

However, Ward seems to have used the weakness of the opposition as an opportunity to give appearences to youngsters Brown, Wylde, Connolly and Gallinagh.

The robins face conference standard KSV Hessen Kassel for a slightly sterner test on Saturday.
