The defender is still lacking crucial match fitness and the Robins have organised a behind-closed-doors friendly at Birmingham on Tuesday afternoon for him to get some action under his belt.
Seven trialists that Yates has invited to train with the club this week are also due to take part in the encounter at Blues' training ground, including former Robins loan signing Kris O'Leary and midfielder Scott Brown.
