ROBINS HOLD BLADES TO A DRAW

The Robins fielded what would probably be their strongest line-up in the 1st Half, but went in 2-0 down at half time thanks to a Steve Kabba goal and a Jack Lester penalty.
In the second half, Robins boss Bobby Gould fielded a team consisting mainly of reserve players and trialists, but it would be Paul Brayson who would star for the Robins. The former Newcastle United striker, who had a poor season in Division Two, was the scorer of both Cheltenham goals, his second coming very late on in the game.
It was a good result for the Robins against a strong Sheffield United team, consisting of many first team regulars.
