Pack keen on Robins stay

The Portsmouth midfielder has enjoyed a successful season-long loan at Whaddon Road and is now on the lookout for a new club having been told he has no future with Pompey, where he is out of contract.

Pack is sure to have plenty of admirers but it seems as though his stint in Gloucestershire has whet the appetite for a prolonged stay, with manager Mark Yates holding further talks with the player on his agent on Monday.

The 20-year-old told Town`s official website: "The support from the fans is one of the major factors that makes you want to stay with the club and it has been great to hear the manager wants to build a team around me.

"I was always a small fish at Portsmouth so it does feel good to be appreciated here because for a lad of my age it has probably been what I have needed. I honestly would love to be at Cheltenham Town next season and get a lot of games under my belt with the club.

"I want to thank the supporters for all their support throughout the season. They have been right behind the team and I throughout the whole year and that is something I really appreciate. Hopefully we will now get my future sorted sooner rather than later."
