John Ward told BBC Radio Gloucestershire: "I spoke to Gary on Thursday. He came to visit us, stayed over on Friday. He's been offered the opportunity to go and speak to another club which I've allowed him to do. He'd like to do that and I've let him. We'd like him around if we could, but if we can't then we'll move on."
