Bobby Gould has told the local press that he tried to bring the late George Best to Cheltenham in a coaching capacity. Gould told the Western Daily Press: "I was at Cheltenham and he was going through a bad spell. So I contacted his friend Rodney Marsh and asked if George would like to come and do some coaching with us."
