Morecambe V Cheltenham at Globe Arena - Match Preview

Ellison missing for Shrimps

Morecambe need to find a replacement for Kevin Ellison in their starting line-up as they host Cheltenham in Sky Bet League Two's only fixture this Saturday.

Ellison grabbed the Shrimps' winner at Mansfield last weekend, but paid the price for his diving header with a fractured eye socket ruling him out for at least a month.

That could increase the need for Jack Redshaw to make his first start of the season after he scored in a 45-minute cameo against the Stags on his comeback from a hip injury.

Boss Jim Bentley could also consider calling upon Jack Sampson or Jack Mwasilie, the latter scoring twice for the reserves in midweek.

Cheltenham strikers Jamie Cureton and Terry Gornell are set to return.

The pair were on the bench for the 1-1 draw at Southend last weekend after feeling under the weather and are both pushing for starts although Jermaine McGlashan will hope to keep his place having previously played as a winger.

Manager Mark Yates looks set to continue with his midfield diamond which has been a common feature during their seven-game unbeaten run in the division.

This clash has been moved forward from January as both sides have been knocked out of the FA Cup.
