New loan-signing Michael Rose has performed well after being brought in as a replacement for the injured Craig Armstrong. The left-sided player was one of the most highly praised League 2 players last season, but has had his opportunities limited until his arrival at Whaddon Road last week.

Rose told the Gloucestershire Echo: "I played about 40 games last year and got into the team of the year, but the gaffer brought in Nathan Jones and he's done really well. The gaffer can't really drop him when he's playing well."

He continued: "I rate Cheltenham as a team. They've started really well and I just want to be an addition to the squad and to help them."
