Fleetwood loan signing unlikely as transfer deadline approaches

John Ward has accepted that he will probably miss out on young Cardiff striker Stuart Fleetwood. He has been tracking the player for the past few weeks but told the Gloucestershire Echo: "At this moment, it's not going to happen. I've been trying Cardiff on a regular basis and I haven't been getting the response I would like". The transfer deadline is today.

Ward can still sign non-league players, one of whom, North Ferriby United striker Gary Bradshaw, has attracted interest from the Robin's gaffer.
