Elliott happy with recent form

Defender Steve Elliott thinks he is starting to return to form after a slow start to his Cheltenham career. Elliott joined the club in the summer and has been part of a struggling defence that has conceaded 16 goals in seven League Two games this season but the former Bristol Rovers centre-half feels he is getting back to his best. "At the start of the season I wasn't happy with my own form and I was a couple yards off it, if I'm honest. I was feeling it in the games a bit but I worked hard in training, did a week of fitness work and I feel I have kicked on," he told the Gloucester Citizen. "In the last couple of games I have felt a lot fitter and on Saturday I felt more or less ready and in top form."
