Cheltenham midfielder Martin Devaney has finally confirmed that he will be a member of Watford's squad next season. The 25-year-old has signed a one year contract with the Hornets.

The move will come as little surprise to many fans, especially those who post on a particular Cheltenham Town message board, as the move has been widely expected for some weeks.

Devaney started 173 games for the robins after joining from Coventry, making 55 sub appearences and scoring 42 goals. He was voted man-of-the-match in the 2002 Division 3 play-off final at the Millenium Stadium.
