Baker still confident of striker arrival

Paul Baker still expects the robins to secure a quality striker after the club missed out on Matthew Tipton. Speaking to the Gloucestershire Echo, Baker revealed that the club is still waiting on a number of players to bolster John Ward's squad.

Cheltenham fans will have been heartened to have heard that the club was able to offer Tipton great terms to join the robins; although geography appears to have played a role in his decision not to sign for the Cotswold club.

The Echo reported Baker as saying: "We've put good offers on the table. As I've said before, there is a decent amount of money available for a top-quality striker."
