Baker Reassures Fans

Reacting to a series of posts on the clubs internet message board regarding the lack of transfer activity, Baker said " Myself and my fellow Directors have been working very hard to get the club ready for this season. One thing that has been top of the agenda is money."

" Marie Brougham (Commercial Manager), is doing a very good job and has brought in a few excellent sponsors who we hope will stay with us for many seasons to come. The money Marie has raised is not only being used for ground improvements, but some will be put aside for transfer and wage allowances."

" I can assure you that Bobby Gould is trying to bring in some experienced players, who would be excellent acquisitions for this club."

Baker also added that he hoped to be able to announce these players in the next couple of weeks, and asked the fans to have faith in the manager, and keep supporting the club this season.
