Cheltenham Chairman Paul Baker has said that the club are budgeting for an average attendance of 3,250 next season. For the past two seasons the club has budgeted for an aveage of 4,000; they beat this figure in 2003/04, but last season the average dropped to just over 3,600. The board of directors felt that the revised figure was more realistic.
Speaking to the Gloucestershire Echo, Baker praised the new TV deal negotiated last week, but was keen to point out that it didn't necessarily mean a 40% increase in revenue for Cheltenham Town. At the level the the robins are currently at there should be around 10-15 matches televised per season, hopefully the club will be involved in at least one of those.
